Investigation underway after AR-style rifle stolen, 1 shot at in Horry County, report says

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — An investigation is underway after a victim’s AR-style rifle was stolen and they were shot at by two unidentified people in Horry County, according to an incident report obtained by News13.

On Tuesday, police responded to the area of Rush Rd. and Bishop Pine Dr. near Conway in reference to a shots fired call.

Upon police arrival, a victim was found who claimed that two people stole their AR-style rifle and fired a pistol after the theft, the report shows.

The victim was unharmed, and police retrieved a spent 9mm shell casing located on Bishop Pine Rd. where the shooting took place. The shell casing was photographed and seized for processing, the report said.

The case is still under investigation. Count on News13 for updates.
