Imaging Director for NextMedia radio cluster in Myrtle Beach, SC

NextMedia Radio in Myrtle Beach is seeking an experienced Imaging Director for stations WKZQ-FM, WYAV-FM, WMYB-FM, WRNN-FM & WRNN-AM.

The ideal candidate will design and execute in-house production including but not limited to, voicing, writing, dubbing and archiving of promotional announcements and commercials. Our Imaging Director will assign and direct the production staff, provide creative support to the Sales Department and clients, read and edit material to ensure compliance with all NextMedia policies and FCC regulations and will also be a morning show producer for one morning show.

Qualified candidates must have exceptional writing skills. Previous show production experience a huge +. You should thrive on thinking outside of the box and have a passion for creating compelling, entertaining and original pieces that connect with listeners. Candidates MUST work well under pressure, be deadline driven and have excellent voice work and production skills.

Next Media Radio Group of Myrtle Beach is looking for Programming, Promotions and Web site interns and is offering a limited number of non-salaried internship positions designed to give hands-on, practical experience at a commercial radio station. These positions will expose the individual to all aspects of radio including promotions, marketing, public relations, special events, programming, commercial production, web site management and sales related activities. 

The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic, energetic and dependable individual with a great attitude, good communication skills and a desire to learn.

Requirements:

  • Current college student (Junior, Senior, post-graduate)
  • Student must be receiving college credit for internship and is expected to work a minimum of 25-30 hours per week for a minimum of 12 weeks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word. Photoshop also a plus
  • Written confirmation from their school advisor about receiving credit for the internship and any special paperwork the radio station must complete to validate the student’s course credit

Things you should know:

  • Internships are unpaid
  • We do not provide housing, transportation or any form of compensation
  • We’re flexible with the start date, length and schedule (work days & hours) of your internship. But we expect you to arrive on time for each assignment, and complete the internship as agreed upon
