I've lost my hubby to the Masters this weekend. He's the sports director at WBTW and working hard to get great highlights of the event to share with you. (P.S. I'm really jealous of him...I would LOVE to go)! However, I am fortunate enough to cover Monday After the Masters at the Dye Course and I will be bringing some of the highlights to you on the air from 9:30-10 a.m. Monday morning.
Back the real Masters in Augusta, GA...here's what we do know as of Friday morning. Tiger Woods isn't off to a good start. He finished the first day tied for 13th place, and dropped an F-bomb on camera. Oops! Who IS doing great? CCU grad, Dustin Johnson. He finished his first round yesterday with a 67 - placing him in second place after Sergio Garcia and Marc Leishman - who both shot 66 yesterday - and are tied for first. Let's hope DJ can keep it going in round two today. It would be great to see a guy with local ties with a major title to his name. And this is unbelievable, 14-year-old Tianlang Guan from China is the youngest player ever at the Masters. He shot a one-over 73 for his first round. He says he feels great. I bet he does - what an accomplishment!
