The summer tourism numbers (to date) for the Grand Strand are out and they look good! They show an increase over last year's numbers which is rather surprizing, considering how un-inviting the weather has been here overall. There are a few weeks left until Labor Day, but so far the folks at the Myrtle Beach International Airport say that around 12,000 more passengers flew into the area than last year. And the recent info released from Coastal Carolina University show the amount of people renting hotel rooms shows a slight increase over 2012! Three cheers for Myrtle Beach! Keep on comin', folks!
