Back in the Groove

After a wonderful week touring the South American country of Peru - it feels great to be back in the saddle. I appreciate the beauty and the culture of Peru but it sure feels great to be back on American soil and back on the WRNN airwaves. With that said, I highly recommend a Peruvian vacation. Seeing Machu Picchu, one of seven wonders of the world, was one of those moments I will never forget. I've added a picture to our WRNN Facebook page from the moment we first arrived Machu Picchu. The other wonderful things from the country is the people. They are so true to their roots and ancestors - wearing the traditional outfits that are so colorful and beautiful. Speaking of colorful and beautiful, the food was gorgeous and perfect! The county is gaining gastronomical fame across the world - they know how to do food. The purple corn was my favorite. They make this great drink (non-alcoholic) called chica morada - it was the best! And they use the purple corn as a dye for clothing. This trip was like stepping back in time. Very special. It was also their Winter Solstice celebration which made the trip that much more magical as street parades and celebrations were going on everyday. If you have any interest in seeing Peru - Spirit Airlines offers a flight from Myrtle Beach to Lima, Peru. I highly recommend this vacation. I'd be happy to share my travel tips with you.
